Privacy policy

Effective July 19, 2026 · Stillbox for iOS & watchOS

The short version

Stillbox collects no data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, and no servers of ours that your data could reach.

What stays on your device

• Breathing sessions, streaks, and custom patterns are stored locally on your device.
• Ambient soundscapes and visual practice cues are bundled with the app rather than streamed and do not report what you play.
• A tiny streak marker (last practice day and count) syncs through your own iCloud key-value storage so streaks survive reinstalls and device swaps. It is visible only to your Apple account; we never see it.

Apple Health

If you turn on “Save to Apple Health,” Stillbox writes each finished session to the Health app as Mindful Minutes. Stillbox requests write access only. It never reads your Health data, sends it to us, uses it for advertising, or stores it on our servers.

Retention and your controls

• Local session history, preferences, and custom patterns remain on your device until you delete Stillbox or erase its data.
• The iCloud streak marker remains in your private Apple account until you remove the app's iCloud data or turn off its iCloud access in Apple system settings.
• Mindful Minutes can be reviewed or deleted in the Health app. You can revoke Stillbox's Health permission at any time in Apple system settings.
• Daily reminders can be turned off in Stillbox Settings or in iOS notification settings.

Because we never receive or hold this data, there is no developer-held account or data record for us to delete.

Purchases

There are none. Stillbox is free, with no subscription and no in-app purchases, so there is no payment data for anyone — us or Apple — to associate with you through the app.

What we never do

• No personal information collected, sold, or shared — we have nothing to sell or share.
• No advertising, no identifiers, no fingerprinting.
• No health data collected by us. Optional Mindful Minutes are written directly to Apple Health on your device and are never read back by Stillbox.

Changes & contact
